Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to all products and services provided by Salesagent Inc. ("Salesagent", "we", "us" or "our") and explains how we collect, use and disclose information in connection with the websites at salesagent.com and any other domain we operate (each a "Site", together the "Sites"). This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service. You are contracting with Salesagent Inc., based in Delaware, US.

The Sites are used predominantly by business entities to facilitate trade, so most of the data we handle is business rather than personal in nature. Even so, we take the privacy and confidentiality of personal information seriously and have built this policy to explain our practices clearly.

Information we collect

We only collect the information we reasonably need to provide our services and protect your account. Depending on how you use the Sites, this may include:

1. Registration Information — name, address, phone number, fax number and email address, collected when you register on the Sites.
2. Account Information — bank account numbers, billing and delivery details, card numbers and expiration dates, and cheque or money order tracking information, collected to facilitate transactions, payments and buyer-protection services on the Sites.
3. Activities Information — records of transactions conducted or facilitated through the Sites, including product types and specifications, pricing and delivery details, and any trade dispute records.
4. Event Information — name, address, phone number, fax number and email address collected from users and prospective users at trade shows, industry events and other functions.
5. Browsing Information — records of browsing and purchasing activity on the Sites, including IP addresses, browser and operating system details, device attributes, pages viewed, and session and visitor statistics.

Registration Information, Account Information, Activities Information, Event Information and Browsing Information generally relate to business entities and are together referred to as "Business Data." To the extent any of this information identifies a living individual, we refer to it as "Personal Data."

Some Business Data and Personal Data is mandatory to provide (as indicated at the point of collection). If you don't provide the required information, we may not be able to complete your registration or provide the relevant Service.

How we use personal data

Where you provide Personal Data to us, we collect, retain and use it for the following purposes:

2. verifying your eligibility to register as a User of the Sites;
3. processing your registration, issuing your log-in credentials, and maintaining your account;

8. publishing information you voluntarily submit through our publishing tools — for example, your Company Profile or discussion forum posts ("Voluntary Information") — on the Sites; and
9. making disclosures required for any of the above purposes, or as required by law or in connection with actual or potential claims.

Disclosure of personal data

1. We may share your Personal Data with service providers who help us deliver our services ("Service Providers") — for example, data entry, database management, promotions, delivery, payment processing, and membership verification. Our Service Providers are bound by confidentiality obligations and may use your Personal Data only for the purposes we've specified, not for their own purposes such as direct marketing.
2. We may share your Personal Data with other companies in the Salesagent group, for the purposes described above, including:
   • Salesagent Inc.
3. Where necessary, we may also share your Personal Data with our professional advisers, law enforcement agencies, insurers, and government or regulatory bodies, for the purposes described above.
4. Personal Data you provide is retained by us and accessible to our employees, Service Providers, and the third parties referred to above, as needed for the purposes stated in this policy.
5. Voluntary Information may be made publicly available on the Sites and accessible to any internet user. Once shared, it becomes public, and you give up any proprietary rights (including confidentiality and copyright) in it. Please think carefully before including personal or proprietary details in anything you submit voluntarily.
6. We may share your Account Information with banks or payment vendors to complete your transactions, and may use it to assess creditworthiness, including sharing it with banks or credit agencies for that purpose. We maintain up-to-date technology and procedures to protect your Account Information, but no system can guarantee complete protection against theft, loss or misuse.
7. We may share aggregated, non-identifying statistical information with third parties. We do not share personally-identifying information with third parties for their own purposes without your permission.
8. We partner with other companies and websites to offer products and services we don't provide ourselves, sometimes through hyperlinks or co-branded pages. If you submit information to those third parties, this Privacy Policy does not apply — their own privacy policies govern, and we don't control how they handle your information. Please review their policies before providing any personal information.

Your right to access and correct your data

Where permitted by law, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee to process access or correction requests.

Cookies

We use cookies to recognize you and understand how you use the Sites. A cookie is a small piece of data sent to your browser and stored on your device. If cookies remain active, our servers can recognize repeat visits and usage patterns. We use cookies primarily to recall your Registration Information or Account Information so you don't have to re-enter it on future visits.

You can control cookies through your browser settings — accepting all cookies, being notified when one is set, or rejecting them outright. If you reject cookies, you may need to re-enter information more often, and some features of the Sites may not work as intended.

Minors

The Sites are not directed at minors (individuals under 18), and we do not knowingly offer our products or services to them. We have no reliable way to verify a User's age. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information without the consent of a parent or guardian, please contact us at legal@salesagent.com so we can remove it.

Security measures

We use commercially reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized access to the Sites and to keep the data we hold accurate and appropriately used. Registered Users can view and edit their Registration Information and Account Information through their password-protected account. Don't share your password with anyone — our staff will never ask for it by unsolicited phone call or email. If you use a shared computer, avoid saving your login details on it, and remember to sign out when you're done. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and while we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We will post any changes to this Privacy Policy on the Sites, and the updated version takes effect as soon as it's posted. The most recent version governs all information we hold about you, regardless of when it was collected.
